Is this bacterial or something else? Trying to help a club member out.

I'm by no means an expert, but I would do a 90 min acriflavine bath followed by 10-14 days of furan2, metro and kanaplex trifecta.

I recommended similar to them. Im just afraid it may be too late as he said it was just a brown patch this morning and it got to this point in 8 hours...

That would be a very good example of a gram negative bacteria and how quickly it can move.

I would do a 90 min acriflavine bath followed by 10-14 days of furan2, metro and kanaplex trifecta.

Doing this ^^ is the best bet, but unfortunately it looks past the point of saving.
