I just got an order of snails and some of them had growth I couldn't scrub off with a toothbrush. I had an emergency at work and had to put them in the water before I could make an informed decision. Any idea what this is and do I need to pull them back out?

Hah he's a worker. I pulled them and put them in a bucket and the little guy is circling the other one like he's covered in something delicious. If they are eating I guess it isn't really a problem and I can put them back? What do you think?
