WHAT IS THIS?????

It’s a night shot with lights off..I put lights on it and it’s a long tentacle feeling around and then sucks back in when the light is on it!?

Could be a worm or a brittle starfish leg? Hard to tell from this picture. I see little starfish legs searching around for food at night all the time.

It’s on a small leather frag from my LFS and only shows it’s self at night when lights are off..kinda new to the game but is freaking me out!!

Welcome to reefing!! Lol there is always something! Can you get the frag out of the tank? You could coral dip it, would kill what ever is. Might not be a scary critter though.

I could definitely do that!! But if it’s a good hitch hiker I wanna keep it lol

I just looked that up and I don’t think so..this only has one tentacle and it’s long and stringy with almost a tiny ball on the end

Ball at end brings us back to digitate hydroid...usually go away on thier own.
