What is this

[Talo’s Reef]

What are these filamentous things and what can I do to help. Coral continues to grow and while it looks like garbage I feel it’s fairly healthy. As in, if these things were gone it would look great. I know there is the die off with algae growth but that was a while ago and the spot is not growing.
