What is this?

I can’t figure out what this algae is that is growing in my frag tank but it is really annoying. My yellow tang and tomini tang won’t touch it.

Any suggestions on what it is and how to get it completely gone? It’s starting to grow by my SPS which I don’t like.

Nope they haven’t at all and it’s spreading pretty fast.

I have no idea what kind of algae it is.

Is it only growing on the frag rack? I've had other algae issues on a frag rank and ended up making a spare so I could swap the algae covered one one for the spare and then clean, bleach, dry and store the used rack as the new spare.

Thanks everyone! I just looked up ulva and that’s exactly what it is.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? It’s grows on the rack mostly but some frag plugs and also some small spots of the back wall and will get stuck in powerheads, etc. really annoying.

For me this one has always just kinda cleared itself up with time. BTW, this one is good at exporting excess nutrients.

I recently had this pop up as well. No clue where it came from either as it didnt present itself in QT at all.

Maybe I'll foster its growth in my sump as a makeshift ATS [emoji4]

I wouldnt care if it was in my sump but it is in my frag tank and it does not look good haha.

I wish they would touch it haha. It might be because the main area is in front of a ton of flow so maybe thats why, but not sure

I bought a foxface rabbit fish and it has done a good job keeping it at bay. He hasn’t completely eradicated it, but I find myself having to manually remove it less frequently now.
