So ive been having problems with my corals and noticed something poking out of the hammer.

Then i noticed something very similar poking out of the zoanthids.

Is this algae or something else?

1st Pic - normal poop coming out of zoas.
Rest - corals not looking to good.

What are your parameters?
Well i had issues in my tank with an autofeeder over vacation.

When i came back algae was taking over and corals were dieing. I noticed all of my snails were dead as well for some reason.

All my testing showed normal(using api testkit).

All i can figure is the algae took all of nutrients and coral starved.

I then decided to upgrade my tank 40g ---> 125g . This is my coral 5 days later in the new tank.

I added all new water, all my cycle rock, new bacteria sand, big bottle bacteria.

Im testing everyday for any spikes during cycle.

Anything else i can be doing to save my coral?

@bimmer007 @DSC reef

Since its 99% new water ive only been testing ammonia, nitrite, nitrate daily.

All my test have been reading 0 or close to it. Today my test all were 0 with very little ammonia.

The majority of my coral seem to be recovering from whatever was going on in my 40g.

Id really like to save my hammer if possible qny suggestions on things i can do? My other
euphelia(the frogspawn) looks to be back to normal.
