What is this?

I pulled this image from another thread. I do not think this is a nerite egg which is what the thread I pulled it from identified it. I have started seeing this in my DT and refugium. Incidentally, when reaching into the fuge to get at the easy to access one, I was stuck with a very sticky jelly in my algae. No body or anything on it, but it did make my hand sting slightly afterward for a while. Not sure if it is related.

Thanks, I assume sponges are generally not an issue. I can hardly believe how prolific it is.

If you were in my neighborhood I would tell you to come and get some I seem to find 2-3 new ones every day.
