We are 5 months old into the reef hobby.

We just noticed these white things in the area behind the tank where the water heads to the sump, sorry not sure what that section is.

Any idea what they are?
Good or bad news?

Pineapple sponges. Good members and a sign of a healthy tank. Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.
