So I have a fish only tank. Lots of live rock. Tank is 10 months old. Noticed this today...any idea what it is? It's hard (I tried to poke it -lol). Thanks!

Need a closer pic as I cant see details on it
but it could be an encrusting bryozoan, membranipora sp. maybe?

added a picture

Still cant really make out the texture/fine details, bryozoans are one of the less common LR hitchhikers and I'm just going on a hunch here1st pic is a magnified pic, look anything like this?

If not describe the very fine details of its surface/texture.

Bryozoans get mistaken for sponges with fossil collectors quite a bit because their surface texture is similar.
