This a coral only tank. No fish have been in here but this stuff is all over. Just did water change this past weekend. Its a fluval evo 13.5. All my levels are good as far as Salinity and nutrients

Looks like a salinity issue to me. Maybe some other irritant got in there and made them freak out.

Ladies and gents, It worked for me. It's very stringy off of rocks and corals, whitish in color. Not cyanobacteria or dinoflagellates.

I would start with manual removal and add a UV if able.

it’s a bacteria bloom.. very common on newer tanks and should pass in time or you can use a cheap UV filter such as a green machine to speed things up.

I thought so. The tank is about 3-4 weeks so I was unsure why I was getting so much all in one day. Ive been using a turkey bastet to remove. The corals seem unbothered by it. Thanks everyone! I’ll see if just letting things settle and not adding anything into the tank for a while helps.
