My dad just brought this back from fishing. I think it’s macro algae. Can someone tell me what it is. It had some aptasia or something so I hit it with aptasia x

Where did you get your sand from. I could be iron deposit

start your own thread... dont hijack OP's. is that playsand from your local home improvement store? if so thats your problem. not for aquarium use. if not sugar fine has that issue..

Yeah that’s what I did. I looks like the red part is a type of red branching macro algae so I cut a piece off and threw it in qt to see if it survives. If it does then it looks like I’ll put it in my tank
