Definitely looks like some kind of bubble algae. Maybe try vibrant? I think it takes a while for results to show, so maybe try something that will eat it. Emerald crab?? There are some people who live them and some who don’t. Personally, if there aren’t any small fish in your tank, I would give it a try, but that’s just me. Basically what I’m saying is vibrant or (female) emerald crab. Good luck and hope this was even remotely helpful.

Try pulling it out. If it is bubble algae it has a thick skin. They are rather cool. I had some years ago. Just started to pick it out until it was gone

Or possible dinos but that does not look like bubble algie at all is it red or brown looks red in the first pic and brown in the second one

Also you can have both cyno and dinos at the same time so first could be cyno and whats in the cheto could be dinos bubble algie is very firm to the touch when tje lights go out do tje bubbles mkstly disapear? If so its definatly not bubble and is either cyno or dinos

Shake the cheto with your hand and if they pop its cyno or dinos most likly cyno while bubble you have to actually squeeze it pop not just touch or move it with alittle gusto
