Pardon my diatoms also on the back wall but does anyone know what these grayish brown specks are on my back wall? They don’t come off after being rubbed by a toothbrush.
 
Pictures fuzzy but looks like spirobid worms. Simply scrape off with an old credit card into a net and discard
 
They don't. That's what i was suspecting it to be. Maybe the start of a coraline wall. Tank is 3 months old with live rock.
yea it might just be coraline then but if they look like this then they would be spirobid worms like @vetteguy53081 said

Yeah they don’t look like that. I believe it’s coralline.
Are you talking about the dots or the surface patches?

The gray dots. Mine don’t look like those mentioned above. It makes sense if it is coraline. Just didn’t want it to be a bad hitchhiker
