What is this?

What is this growing between my gsp. Been away from this QT frag tank for a few months and today I just noticed this growing between this coral and around the tank. It is soft and pulls off very easy but I have no clue what it is or how to get rid of it. Grows quickly and takes over. Please help.

i believe it’s a type of sponge though not sure if good or bad

Just looked it up. Definitely a sponge. Thanks. No to find out how to get rid of it.
