Just found this growing (the little thing growing on the rock near the sand), no idea where it came from. I have some soft corals in my tank but it looks like nothing I have. Crazy how this came out of nowhere.

No that's not what I mean, there is a little coral I think with 8 "petals" on the rockit is cyano and is a bacterial algae that loves light and an indicator of high phosphate or even nitrate.
Simply reduce white light interval or turn off white lights for 3-5 days and add 1.5ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons daily to compete with this bacteria
Siphon up as needed. Adding snails such as cerith, nerite, nassarius and margarita will help with control

Really? How do they reproduce? I actually did have some clove polyps in that area that got buried into the sand so I moved them.Clove polyp
I’ve seen them detach and float around to new areas, they also tend to stick a tinny bud onto a surface and grow out from there.Really? How do they reproduce? I actually did have some clove polyps in that area that got buried into the sand so I moved them.

Oh ok. Should I move it higher up so it's not in the sand?I’ve seen them detach and float around to new areas, they also tend to stick a tinny bud onto a surface and grow out from there.
Liquid bacteria.... stability? Or something like Instant Ocean nitryfyingit is cyano and is a bacterial algae that loves light and an indicator of high phosphate or even nitrate.

They move themselves if they aren’t happy. I’d just leave it be unless you don’t want it there.Oh ok. Should I move it higher up so it's not in the sand?
Oh ok. That's cool thanks. The parents are stuck to a plug. They move themselves if they aren’t happy. I’d just leave it be unless you don’t want it there.
I had an entire colony jump off a rock in a single night and move about 10 inches to a spot with more flow. It was pretty impressive.Oh ok. That's cool thanks. The parents are stuck to a plug.
Should I take them off the plug and try to get them to stick to a rock?I had an entire colony jump off a rock in a single night and move about 10 inches to a spot with more flow. It was pretty impressive.
I’d just put them in the general area you want them to grow in. Soft corals can detach at will.Should I take them off the plug and try to get them to stick to a rock?
I read that sand isn't great for them, right now I have the plug in the sand, I should move it to a rock?I’d just put them in the general area you want them to grow in. Soft corals can detach at will.
Micro bacter 7 or bacter XLM is an exampleLiquid bacteria.... stability? Or something like Instant Ocean nitryfying
