I found this in the sand of a tank I started in December. Only thing in the tank are a couple leathers and some other corals that I had in a frag tank for about 9 months. Then I saw this in the sand. Good or bad?

Its a type of Macro algae called Acetabularia (Mermaids wine glass), It should be fine in your tank if you want to grow macro`s in the display.
If you don't want it, you'll have to manually remove them, sometimes they're small and hidden on the rock or sand.

Thanks, I think I'll keep him
