What is this?

A friend has just bought me a coral as a gift... Any ideas what it might be? He didn't think to ask. He said it was purple and moved in the flow.

I have it in my holding tank for now and will wait for it to open but can anyone identify it closed?

Acropora coral
Until it opens, can’t tell what type
If this is a new tank, you may have an issue with it loosing tissue, etc

I thought that when i first saw it but he said if moved in the flow..... Didn't think acropora moved? Also don't acropora need super high PAR? I may struggle with this one if that's the case!! Don't know my exact PAR but i have two Prime 16HDs over a 50gal so I doubt you'd class me as a high PAR tank!

Polyps starting to extend... Not sure it's an Acro.... Appears to have polyps with 8 "arms" which makes it a soft coral? I'm thinking it may be a pipe organ.....

Just went to regular computer screen- it is indeed pipe organ

definitely not an acro. looks like a pipe organ to me
