What Is This?

How do I get rid of it? All perimeters are fine. This happened before, but it went away on it's own. I was wondering what caused it before. This time it came back after overdosing beneficial bacteria, which is what I did the last time I had this problem. This cotton like fungus seams to be hanging around a little longer. Thanks all

Is there a little snail shell at the base with a small tube that it's coming out of? If so, you can glue the tip shut or chip the whole thing off your rocks. If not, I'm not sure what it could be.
