Hi guys, just bought this frag from my lfs and i really liked how it looked. Owner said he had no idea what it was. But I saw the colony he fragged off of and it was like encrusting/ plating around a peice of plastic shelf he had in there. Any possible thoughts anyone thanks.

Sorry I’ve never heard of that. Is there a scientific name for it so I do my own research to learn how to better care for it?

Probably a hydnaphora coral.

Pretty easy to care for.

Hydnophora. It is aggressive so keep some room between it and other coral.

Do you know How much light and flow I should give it? Also I paid 40$ for that frag is that a good price? How long does it take to grow?

Strong flow, and powerful light! As mentioned it has a strong sting and can harm nearby corals.
