What is this?

Is this brown stuff on the bottom of my glass diatoms? I am on my seventh week of my cycle no lights on at all or skimmer . This week I will add cope pods and coralline algee . Zero nitrites and ammonia. Please if anyone can comment on what steps should I take I would like to add a clown fish in two to 3 weeks from dr. Reefs quarantined fish . Thanks I am a noob go easy on me please. Also can I just suck all that brown stuff up when I change the water?

First, not trying to be mean, but it’s not an emergency. To answer your question, Looks like detritus from the rocks or maybe some sand came loose if you used it for aquascaping. Either way, yes you can simply vacuum it out.

From what I can see, it just looks like matter that was floating in your water and has now dropped to the bottom. Doesn't appear to be anything to worry about. I would just clean it up!

This isn't an emergency. Your tank will go through multiple ugly stages the first year. Typically the first stage is diatoms which usually go away on their own in a few weeks. I can't really see anything in your tank. Leaving lights off the first 4 months will allow your tank to build biodiversity and microfauna and make the ugly stages more manageable.

No problem. As mentioned. Nothing to worry about. Can be cleaned up if algae or sucked out of detritus.
