What is this??

This jumped off a coral while dipping. it swims around a lot.

Appears to be an isopod. Some of them are parasitic.

I hope its not . interesting. I'm always amazed at how much debris and critters comes off little frags.

These are from wwc. Found a couple what might be vermatid. I just finished eradicating those in my tank. I scrapped the hell out of the rock the frag is on.

Vermetid aren't really a threat imo. You don't need dip to see and remove them. I'm more concerned with flatworms, bugs, spiders etc...the kind of pests that will take down corals and infest tanks.

Yeah they are more of a nuisance. I just take a scalpel and scrape them off. Parasites are definitely more concerning.
