Hello,
I am new to the hobby and have a 70 gallon tank. I recently noticed this thing in there and I just wanted to see if anyone knows what it is? I thought it might be hair algae but its only in one spot and really long.

Can't really tell from photos but maybe cyanobacteria which is common in new tanks. Sorry I not really sure from photo. U can colour the area in photo in which u r seeing the algae

I’m not sure if I’m looking at the right thing but it looks like some type of macro algae. The rock looks like live rock. Probably came in to small to see and has grown. Ant herbivore fish or inverts will make a meal of it.
