Subjective to each person. I'd personally love having that species. I've never been successful growing it in my fudge/sump. All of my algae eaters LOVE it.

I wouldn’t say it’s subjective or labeled as bad or even neutral. Any type of macroalgae is good to have it exports nutrients, looks appealing to many, and is gladly munched on by a variety of organisms in our tanks. But some people may not like it that doesn’t mean it causes any harm or is a bad hitchhiker.

They can also be invasive and toxic when they reproduce
