What is up with this BTA

This BTA looks like it is eating itself or something? Only had it for about 5 days. First few days looked great today this...

What ended up happening? My new one has been eating itself like this but a little worse since I put it in my tank 2 days ago.

He has done it a few times. Someone told me he was digesting something. I had gave him a small chunk of silver side the day before. He stopped doing it looked normal for a day or two then saw him do it again a few times but seems OK.

They don’t eat themselves. I wouldn’t recommend silversides for feeding. I only feel soft foods like mysis, scallop, etc. nem looks healthy
