This is my BB favia. I don't know what's happening to it. I little while back it landed on top on a chalice and it lost a bunch of heads. It started to peel and then it stopped. I've been keeping it shaded to let it heal, but it's been like this for a couple of months now. It doesn't open its feeders anymore and it hasn't really regrown-it just looks like this all day. What's going on guys? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Jay

Do you see any feeding tentacles when the lights are off? If so, it will be fine Jay ;)

may take some time to recover and then if will start to color up and grow. looks like it lost to the chalice.

Oh the joys of keeping chalices... and an annoying bulldozer snail.

Mark, I haven't seen any feeders when the lights are out. I'm going again to try take it out and stick it in container with food to see if that would induce feeding. I'm not sure what to do anymore.

i had a similar case with one of my favias. it took months for it to recover fully. mine actually looks like it morphed after it got stung and healed up.

Has anyone tried using AAs for LPS? I know there are mixed reviews even with sps but I'm still at a standstill with this BB. It sucks. I tried soaking some oysterfeast with it.. but nothing. My other favias are growing but this one isn't! It's frustrating...any thoughts?
