what is using my alk?

My dkh has gone from 8.0 to 7.3 in 7 days yet there is nothing in my tank except rock (caribsea shapes) so what is using the alk?
I am using nopox, if that has anything to do with it.

Precipitating or your rocks are absorbing it. Why are you using Nopox with nothing in the tank?

Because that's what red sea say to do during the cycle.

I haven’t heard of that method. Nopox drives nitrates down, but if Red Sea says to do that and your doing their method then it should be fine.
