Ok so I am at a loss for what is causing my fathead dendros to look like this: 20161222_205415.jpg 20161222_205407.jpg
They were open and beautiful a week ago. I do 30gal water changes on Sundays on my 120gal tank. I am running carbon/gfo in a reactor which I change every 3 weeks. My salinity is 1.025, ph 8.0, temp 77-78, Alk is around 7 dkh, calcium 440, Mg 1480, Nitrates 8ppm, phos. 0.02. I feed a mix of things everyday or every other day. I am getting so frustrated! I had some others that suddenly died from RTN after looking like this for awhile. :(

IMO, it's just a difficult coral to keep around long term.
I never seen a large homegrown colony like the regular Aussie duncans.

That makes me very sad...I love them. It seems all the corals I love are doomed however I have green palys and RBTA's down! Fake corals are looking more and more appealing...then maybe a tiny puffer or 2?! :(

Try a Duncan and some torches, lots of movement.
Maybe a blasto or acan,
This hobby is so much bigger than us all together.
