What Is Your Fastest Growing Zoa?

I am curious to know what everyone's fastest multiplying zoa/paly is. Do all identical strains experience the same rate of growth? Do all zoas/paly's from the same lineage experience the same rate? Without a doubt my fastest growers are my ARMEGEDDONS. On Nov.2, 2006 I was down to a 6 polyp frag. Last night, I counted 26 polyps.

That is more than double than any other zoa that I have. What's your fastest grower?

That's great to hear! I jsut got a free 3 polyp frag of those at our frag swap last week. I was just at Mbunaman's last night, complaining about how slow my zoas are growing. He said to add Mg & watch them flourish. True? I never test for it & don't add any, except w/WC. I am having a problem getting/keeping my dkH higher than 7.

I have at least 6 frags of these pink paly's that i got about 2 months ago. I bought about 10 polyps and today i have over 30++...........

There are my Nukes and Arme's though that i just got from Bryan that are already puffin' up and growin into big adult polyps though...

Careful w/some of those pinks. They have been known to be invasive... I just got rid of a bunch of them, cause they were taking over!

Mecolds alien explosions are super fast growers. They probably put out close to 3 polyps a month.

Actuall, I'd have to say my best growers are my bleached RPEs. Babies come out bleached too. The origional polyps seem to be getting their color back 1st.

The reason you might be having a problem with your alk is because your Mg is off.

My PDs are definately the fastest growers in my tank. 1-2 polyps a month.

Top 4 fastest growers in my tank...

1. yellow sand polyps (lol)
2. Fire and Ice
3. kedd red
4. purple deaths

slowest growers... PPE and carribean alien eyes.

X-Men are by far my fastest growers. Some of the disks are about quarter sized and i have been lucky that they have maintained their solid purple disk. No speckling at all. They are almost becoming a nuisance. Started with 2 polyps maybe 4 months ago must have 50+ now.

that's a toughy...

I'll look at some old pics to compare.. but most of my zoas grow in spurts.. they'll explode in one or two months in a row and be stagnant for a while, then grow like crazy again.. my PPE's and Nuclear Greens are great examples of this.. I'll post some before and pics later with the timeline...

My variable stars are my fastest growing polyps ATM, I think it's because I've been doing twice weekly water changes to fix my algae problem. They've been averaging 1-2 polyps a week and an increase in polyp size as well.

I have some orange zoas that started at 12 and now are over 40 in around 6 months.

My Variable Stars or Mohawks are also the fastest growing in my tank they pop out heads like everyweek.

I started with a colony of watermelons in July of around 115 polyps. I now have approx 225-240 polyps. I seriously have to remove some of them soon as they are getting close to my purple tip validia.

My Tubs blues are a weed. I got 8 polyps 2 years ago only to see 6 or 7 die in a week. I now have 500+ polyps and have traded/sold/given away 200+ polyps. I gave away ~100 polyps last friday night and you cant even tell on the colony.
