My favorite that I'd like to find is Red Bamboo/Solieria. Here's a picture of it. I've been looking for it for almost a year now! My favorite in my tank now is Gracilaria Hayi.

Calling all macro lovers the few and far between

Even fewer and far between, macro lovers that can actually get ahold of what they want and grow it well. My favorite for practical purposes is Chaeto, because nutrient export would be a nightmare without it. It truly is a miracle plant.

As far as ornamentals go, dragons breath like in the first photo with the blue hypnia, followed by giant fern feather and palm tree caulerpa.

Oh there's a lot of things that can beat it when ebay sellers only give you a one inch frag, which is but a small snack for an amphipod or other small creature in the night.

Yeah I did that with dragons breath when I didn’t know. Looked so good under blue light but it didn’t last long.

Double the bubble trouble, but really beautiful - Valonia ventricosa

+1000 to hip Blue Hypnea which lives up to all the hype

Not yo mama's String of Pearls

Grape caulerpa aged to perfection with deep notes of salt and a few flatworms

Is this the case with all snails? is there anything that will eat GHA but not macro? The GHA was overtaking my macro until I introduced ceriths and Astraea snails. I cant be certain if they are eating the macro, or its just doing poorly due to conditions though. I did watch an Astraea snail completely clean up a piece of red razor without harming it, but it eventually denigrated for other unknown reasons.
