What is your most favorite DIY project and why?

Happy 4th of July reefers! I love diy aquarium projects and I'm currently making a hood for my biocube 14 that I started today.What our your favorite diy projects you've made and why? do they function well? what are the benefits of making it yourself rather than buying?

I love building stands. It’s so much more satisfying building one that meets my specs and I know that will be sturdy. I just hate painting them! That’s the worst part.

First is my 255g system second is my 2g system still in progress.. I like diy better bc I get exactly the look I want and can fit everything exactly how I want it. Everything works.

I have to agree with 'all of it' sentiment. But to pick a favorite, it has to be our surge device. I've enjoyed these since the first time I saw one in a public aquarium. It has now been 6 months in our system & it's still great to watch.
