What is your nastiest(meanest) shroom?

Mine is this little guy and most Yumas in my garden. But this one will drape its cap over and dissolve anything that gets near it. Will even walk a little if another shroom gets a little too close

Sangria mushroom. Refuses to stay put and has drifted over several other corals (taking a chunk out of them).

I'm pretty sure I have that same strain of ricordea yuma and I will echo your sentiments about their aggressive nature. Mine started as a dime-sized single polyp and in a year's time has taken over one of my rocks beating back zoanthids, other mushrooms and blastomussa along the way. I even saw the mother mushroom extending her skirt to sting some nearby zoas and keep them at bay.

My Yuma(s) by far. Started as one 7-8 months ago and is now 4-5. It’s turquoise and orange. Will gladly stretch out the tentacles on its edges to reach whatever it can. Also the only coral to survive a run-in with my Acan pachysepta.

Do you have a picture? Curious to know what species it is Google pulls up a few different ones for Sangria shroom.

This one is very interesting. I have 5 or 6 very distinct subspecies on Yuma. Luckily this one doesn't propagate as fast as my godzilla or there would be issues. Probably the slowest growing Yuma I have. Its left a wake of shrooms in its path. Once it touches another shroom they don't recover like some others will. Very nasty little shroom.
The only thing it seems to tolerate is the baby on back of disc. Which happens to be dissolving a rhidactis thats decided to walk near it! Check it out lol

Thanks for contributing man its going to be interesting to see what happens when some of these other Yumas I have decide to start dropping babies like crazy.

This appears to be real close to my sub species of Yuma.
I'll try to keep this thread updated to show what happens with this rhodactis that wanderered a little too close!

That little baby on back of the disc has walked towards the rhodactis last cpl of days lol.

Here's another one. Jason fox Minecraft (St Thomas) that made quick work of Yuma under her. I spun her tile to the back a few times but she kept walking forward and draping her cap over the ledge and after awhile this is all that's left of that poor Yuma. Be interesting to see if she would win a fight with my cannibal Yuma.

I don't (my orange filter is broken), sorry. It's a deep almost pinkish red. It's your typical rhodactis (not a ricordea).

You guys have a bad mushroom? I have 4 different species and none of them are this bad. Let alone invasive, my blue took months before it spread and it only has 3 babies. I have had it for 8-9 months, my most spread mushroom is my Yuma but even that isn’t a coral killer.

For the most part I've tried to keep same species together in clusters but separate from other species if that makes sense. No real issues other than the couple ive pointed out. Most reefers probably wouldn't have cannibalistic issues or issues with other corals as long as space is given. I have a feeling alot of the aggression ive been seeing is from the cramping thats starting to occur. Survival of the fittest type stuff now
Since I posted last. My cannibal Yuma looks to have made quick work of that green rhodactis behind it. At least I dont see it anywhere.
On further inspection the little cannibal Yuma looks like its creeping towards the big green rhodactis now. Def alot closer to the green rock today lol

Fair to say your safe then. As long as space is given to other corals lol. I have 1 ric and im keeping a close eye on it

the ric is also the biggest shroom/coral/nem I have! at least in part due to it being the only one in the tank.
