There is no doubt that the Chalice craze has died. And, all of you know that the fads of coral come and go. So, I am just curious what people predict that the next high demand coral will be?
Gary

I have really been falling in love with a bunch of cyphastreas so maybe that will be the next fad.

IDK, I think the chalice is still going pretty strong. With the new euphyllias coming on the market like the orange torches, I wouldnt be suprised if they started coming in with alot more colors.

I agree with all of it. I have seen a lot more of what people consider to be basic coral. Such as the favia, euphyllia, mushrooms, ricordea and yumas.

I seen a bunch of very beautiful chalices colonies ( I'm talking 20-30 eyes, 4-6") around $199 to $500 bucks where before they were thousands!! I also think the chalice craze is slowing down, that being said I will keep buying proven pieces that they have been in the hobby for a while, I just started collecting Favias so we will see what happens.

Majano anemones are the next big "must have" coral. Or I could be wrong. ;)

I don't think it is going to be limited to one type of coral.

I think any coral that is unique, brightly colored, especially mixed colors ie. rainbow, high contrast coloration, of any typeis going to be where it is at.

Mushrooms are making a big come back. I didnt see them for years in anyones photos. Now I see them in the back ground all of the time. I am a big fan of Yumas and Bullseye Mushroom.

I have a feeling chalices will be like zoa/palys the craze will never really die out but I have a feeling we will see a resurgence of many things once economy picks back up with I think a craze in sps to rekindle the fire.

Looks like many people see SPS coming back. That would be awesome!

I like the idea of a mushroom craze. Need more
