I didn't see any tell tell sign of Brook. But I'm no expert. I had another fish that had some fin rot going on which I treated. My guess is they are related. My water quality hasn't been the greatest so that could be a contributor to additional stress on the fish.Brook?
It's an established tank and no new introductions of any sort for the last 5 months. So I'd be surprised if it were something exotic that led to his death. In this tank powerheads are guarded but crabs are very aggressive.Because of the state of decomposition, you probably won't ever be able to determine the cause of death. If it was an established fish my guess would be that it was either the victim of aggression or involved in an accident with a powerhead or something. Sorry for the loss.
If you didn’t see any signs of this, then it’s probably not the case. The missing skin was why I suggested this.I didn't see any tell tell sign of Brook. But I'm no expert.
