Hello everyone,

Does anyone of you know what kinda algae/bacteria this could be?

It does not have any oxygen bubbles, nor does its intensity change over the day/night (so no dinos nor gold algae?). It also cannot be siphoned easily.

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,
Marco

Looks like green hair algae to me. Get you some hermits and turbo snails and they will clean it right up. It is caused by having too many nutrients in the water that aren’t being used

Thanks for your reply. Oddly, neither the hermits nor the turbo snails like to eat these (or maybe they haven't been hungry in the past few days lol). Nitrate is undetectable and I do not feed anything due to the lack of fish. Could there be other reasons for them surviving?
