What kind of algae/bacteria is this?

Hello everyone! I have a 14 gallon frog fish tank(please don’t bash me for the tank size, it is only his temporary grow out tank) and have battled green cyano bacteria in it before. But as of recently, what I thought was red slime was appearing. So, treated it the same, increased WC and reduced feedings. Didn’t work. So, then I tried red slime remover. That didn’t work either. I decided to manually remove some of it with a net, but it’s not solid like typical red slime, it just drained out of the net as a red liquid, but then reformed in about 5 mins. I’m out of ideas at this point as I don’t know how to fight whatever kind of algae/bacteria this is. Any help is greatly appreciate.

The brown stringy mess in your reef tank pics looks like dinoflagellates

Look like Dinoflagellates.

The ones in the fake plants or on the rocks?

There is some turf algae on the plants

Yep, the reformation is consistent with dinos; that said, there are many different species with different treatments recommended and so you will need a microscope to identify what you are dealing with.

Thank you guys so much for the quick responses. I have a bio class tomorrow, so I'll take a sample and and use their good microscope. (my professor is also a reefer )

I think it’s Ostreptsis... and it’s in my DT too
