What kind of algae is this?

How do I get rid of it? My plate coral and my duncans havent been fully opening since I got the algae. What do I do?

what is your photo period length? maybe a light gravel vac will help. Have you checked your rodi/source to ensure that it is @ 0t.d.s.
 
The bubbles lead me to believe that's it's either Cyanobacteria or the beginnings of Dinoflagellates. However Dino's are usually a brown/rust color. Cyano runs from blue/green to red/purple.
Gently siphon it out, increase flow to the effected areas, checking proper lighting, check nitrates/phosphates.
 
And I had a really bad problem with cyano and I bought a powerhead to increase flow and it made it worse
 
For how long? And what kind of algae do you think it is?
that light dusting should only take a few days to die off.
also suspend all feedings as well.
When it does die off then resume with 1/2 duration lighting and 1/2 feedings.
if the algae comes back cut back both.
if it stays away increase both.
eventually you should get some combination of lights and feeding where the good stuff thrives and the algae stays away.
It does look like a green cyano to me but possibly could be some ULVA as well.
the above will work with either.

1. siphon out all visible cyano at least once a day (suck it out with a turkey baster)
2. reduce nutrients (water change, chemical media, etc., part "1." also helps with this to some extent as you export the cyano)
3. increase flow, this will keep it from growing on the sand bed (but doesn't solve the underlying problem)

imo, using lighting to kill algae doesn't make sense, nutrients are the problem not light...

I agree.....if the nutrients are still there, the algae will reappear once the light is returned. Bob is correct in stating that it is a balance though....unfortunately algae often requires much less light to grow than coral do to survive.
