What kind of algae is this

I've been dosing vibrant for over 2 months now and red Sea no pox for about a month and I run gfo and the algae got smaller for a couple of days and now it's growing like it was and from what I've read on the vibrant thread people are killing hair algae fast so I don't know if this is hair algae or what kind it is to know what to do with it because when I do water changes I scrub it and then it comes back and I can't get it all off when I scrub it with a toothbrush so does anyone know what type of algae this is

I just ripped a piece of it off and it ripped pretty easy when I pulled it

I looked at it but I don't know but it seems like a hair algae because it says that if it rips easy that it's a hair algae so I guess that is what it is but I've been dosing vibrant for over 3 months and some people are saying that it is usually gone in a couple of doses but I've dosed way more than that and it still is there so I don't know but I'm thinking about getting a sea hare to put in the tank

Where are your Phosphates and Nitrate at? Running higher phosphates and nitrate is usually the key cause of green hair algae. NOPOX is much better that vibrant to treat the green hair algae for the reason it is a carbon based product I had a much better success with NOPOX using a doser then manually dosing.

You can also try a bio media in your sump such as siproax, zeovit or life bio fil. These medias use bacteria to help with braking down nitrates. I was running the zeovit and just switched to the life bio fil for the reason my system is a AF system and AF just came out with the life bio fil. I was also getting good results with the zeovit too.

I run GFO, life bio fil and some carbon in my system and my nutrients stay in line and I can feed what I want for the corals without my nutrient numbers going through the roof like they used too.
