My tank has been set up for 7 weeks now. Just wondering what kind of algae is starting to show up?

Could be film algea. Your tank is going to go through stages of the uglies while it matures and finds its homeostasis.

Good luck with the new tank. It’s exciting and frustrating watching it mature.
