What kind of algae is this?

Foxface are safe and will decimate many algaes. I would be hesitant to put a purple tang in a tank that size, they can be down right vicious in smaller tanks. But, yes, it seems that kole tangs get along with just about everyone in my experience.

Guess I gotta teach my FF to eat it veggies. Got an out break of purple long hair algae. Been running NoPox to reduce my nitrates and phosphates.

That looks like cyanobacteria to me. Are you sure you aren't using too much NoPox?

That looks like Cyano to me as well.

I went from feeding 5 cubes to 4 and am noticing my blue hippo tang starting to pick at the rocks more. Problem is I have a bunch of that prurple turf algae I can’t seem to get rid of either.

That looks like cyanobacteria to me. Are you sure you aren't using too much NoPox?

Following dosing instructions for 10 days now. 10 ml per day for 120 gal. Checking every Wednesday for a nitrate reduction. A small lowered amount last week. Should I turbo blast it off the rocks?
