Anyone done battle with this algae other than using a blonde Nash tang? I've read Sally light foot and certain urchins and I don't want to go that route for sure. I will do the blonde naso as a last resort. My tank is a 150 so I can support one for a couple of years. I'm going to try a few...
This algae is Lobophora, a type of encrusting or plating algae. Probably Reef-safe, until it grows out of control. Some tangs will likely feast on this. Notice besides encrusting on the rockwork, it has some curling plates forming on the leading perimeter. Photo by Slinger
I got new sediment filter and carbon and di mixed bed resin. The old one all the way golden from blue. The new one is purple I hope I got the right one for regular 4 stage unit
