What kind of algae is this?

I have huge strands of brown stringy algae that have almost grown to the surface. It's also attached to other algae interestingly. All I have in my tank right now is a clean up crew, but it seems to be too much for them to handle. Should I cut it out and dispose of it?

Yeah that will work. i had it in my tank a month or so ago and that’s all you really gotta do to get rid of it.
