What kind of Algae

What is this and is it good or bad stuff? It's not hairy just flat on the rocks.

It’s hard to tell from the pic , but it looks like a new tank , was it started with live or dry rock

dry... about 2 1/2 months into it

Ok then it’s normal and just part of the cycle the uglies , nothing too worry about.. have you got any clean up crew in yet ?

Yes snails.. I actually don't think it looks ugly. If it was hair I wouldn't like it but it's hard on the rock like coralline. I had hair in the earlier stages.

If it’s encrusting like coralline .. then it probably is ... coralline comes in all colors !!
