bump, i need an answer to this. i heard it could be a majano anemone but the base of this one is a bright green, not brown

it’s about an inch long, my LFS gave it to me for free and said they didn’t know what it was. they only had 2-3 in the tank and theyve been there for a while. i have more photos of it

It's possible it's a majano then. In optimal conditions a real pest.

People give them more of a pass because they're pretty unlike aiptasia and grow slightly slower, but they're Def an annoyance. Pretty rude of your lfs

that sucks, never had an anemone before and was excited to have gotten this one for free. i just hope it’s not some other type of anemone and i end up removing it for no reason

I have a garden of them and they actually sell/trade well to the right people since the pretty ones are hard to find. They are not too hard to control in a nano.

That's a palythoa grandis they are very high in palytoxin so handle with care and yes they are probably the fastest growing paly/zoa

Not a majano... They have a larger oral disc more like a Zoa but not. Yours looks like a BTA
