What kind of clown

If you guys had to guess what kind of clown would you say this is? I know what he was sold to me as, but I'm not convinced and he looks quite different from his supposed same sub type that was sent at the same time. Please excuse the dirty QT glass

Ok, that's what he is supposed to be. I was thinking the black on his fins made him seem more like my black ice percs than the other lightning maroon swimming in QT with him.

Here is my lightning maroon..
I'm guessing you're could be, but I could be wrong.
I only say that because I see no maroon on it. Granted the maroon can get a tad darker over time or the camera is hiding it's true colors.

I'll try to get a better pic of her when the lights come on today.

Ok.. lights are still out, but she was being stupid and still for a second.
My lighting maroon. She does not have as much black as yours, but the thing that is throwing me off is the middle bar on yours being so predominant.

My male which finely came out from hiding has more black on his fins compared to my female. in case you didn't spot it, he has a pattern of an owl on his side. Lol

I see yours likes the glass too, dang tank bred clowns. My gold nugget female hangs in the back of a large swim through digging up my tank everyday

Yup.. my male was banished to the rear left side of the tank and my female took over the right side because it has the BTA.. lol

I can usually tell a maroon by the shape of its face. Maroons seem to have a fuller face with a more blunt look. I’d bet it’s a maroon.

I'm hoping mine will find the BTA I recently added but happy they haven't for now to allow it to grow out a bit

I hope it finds it one of these days for you, I once had a clownfish that decided it would rather host with the mag float for 2 years and never went near the BTA I had. They're kind of goofy

They definitely are but love the nem nonetheless. Shame in decided to extend out of the back side of its cave rather than the front but oh well.

Mine have been hosting the bryopsis instead of the 2 BTAs.... Starting fluconazole this weekend though so maybe that will teach them
