I am going to add 2 reactors to my sump. I want to run carbon and bio pellets. This is going in to a 150 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump. Any suggestions on what size and type of reactor I should get? I'm a most bang for my buck type so I just need something that is cost efficient and works well. Also any suggestions on the brand of media I should use? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

I think the best "bang for the buck" is probably the Two Little Fishies Phosban reactor for the carbon. Nothing fancy but relatively inexpensive and work just fine!! I used the larger NextReef Reactor when I upgraded to the 300 from the 180 ..... and almost wish I had just gotten the bigger TLF reactor instead. The NextReef started leaking around the seams on me after less than a year - and since then I've just gone to running the carbon passively.

Personally I like the BRS ROX carbon - seems to take a lot less and is very clean and effective. I use the Reef Octopus bio pellet reactor and have been very happy with it.... running EcoBak pellets.
