Aiptasia

OK kinda looking like a polychaete the tenicles have spirals on them maybe @Lionfish Lair may know the body comes out real long and it goes all the way in the rock at night.

What exactly are we looking at. I see the nem, alage and what looks to be a digitate hydroid

They will stretch to get to light or current.

I've killed some aptasia it doesn't look or act like this. And I removed it right this thing goes in and out of the rock has a worm type body not nem. Those tenicles are not like nem.

No does not have those nem teicles it's body is not stuck or stretching it slithers in and out of the rock and has spirals on the tenicles.

Yes I know. I honestly think it is a curly cue nem like the ones in the second picture.

I thought nem at first until I seen it move in and out of the rock like a worm its not attached

Didn't see the rear but that entire head can move back in that hole and the body goes in like a worm

I noticed when my cleaner shrimp got near it it would retreat into the hole
