Was battling dino for few mths. After a 48 hours blackout, much have receded. Then I notice under blue lights, there are patches of red mat algae like stuff. Below r some pictures. Anyone know what this is?

Agreed, that's cyanobacteria. It's reported that cerith snails will eat it, but not much else will. Physical removal by blowing it off and siphoning it out is how I combat it.

I'm sure you'll get lots of replies about chemical treatments too, and that's probably the easiest fix. I just prefer not to add anything to my tank unless it's absolutely necessary.

if its cyano im not too bothered.. should i b happy getting cyano after dino? haha
