just wondering how to judge if a led light fixture is what i need for my 29g tank they range from 100.00 bucks and up. i just want a fixture that is a upgrade from my vho's and is bright enough for soft corals and maby some lps corals. Can anyone tell me what economical led fixtures they use?

Give OceanRevive a close look. The Arctic S026 was designed specifically to be competitive with the EverGrow/Reef Breeder/Reef Radiance fixtures. It's better looking case, runs cooler (like 2-4 degrees above room temp), has better fans and 4 real heat sinks. I had 3 D120/value fixture units and tried one OceanRevive S026 just to try it. I sold all 3 of the D120's and got 2 more Arctic S026's. And now they have a new fixture, the Arctic T247, which has an LCD screen, 2 built-in digital timers and digital dimmer control (no sloppy dimmer knobs) and only 1 power cord. It costs a few bucks more, but it's a much nicer fixture. You can find the S026 for under $160 if you look around.

I went to post and it kicked me out of the internet. An hour wasted!! Especially difficult on the iPad
Overall,
reef breeders and ever grow are the same with 55 multi color LEDs and 115 watts max output . Reef breeders you can upgrade the optics for extra money (199 shipped) comes with 120 degree standard. Ever grow comes with 90 degree optics standard at the price of 199.
Reef radiance only has 44 LEDs, but combines 90 and 120 optics, and 3 inches shorter. It is on sale for 159.00
It is only 132 watts max.
Can someone explain the optics to me??
Wish we could do a poll and see what brand is most popular/ compare able.

I would look into a kessil 150 for that small of a tank. I think u will be a lot happier with a kessil over some of those other mentioned led lights. Just my opinion

This light is strong enough to grow ANYTHING in a 29g. (friend uses 2 of the 100w over a 75g at 60% max and has SPS growing like crazy)

most of these lights you guys have been reccomending seem to work for the 30 gallons he needs. If my tank is 75 gallons, would i be better off with 2 lights...?
