So im looking to buy some new LED's since my last ones went down the drain. Before i make a buy i was wondering what you guys think are the best ones out right now since they seem to be all over right now. The only requarment is that im able to place them 7 inches over my water.

I'm using coralsky LEDs and I couldn't be more happier they are super bright and the glow is insane

those reflectors are sweet as for bulbs "CREE" seems to be the best right now

Price is not realy a prob unless its rediculious compaired to other LED's. I want them to make colors pop threw out the day.

They are a bit expensive. I'll see if I can take a pic for u tonight can't promise the pic will be clear it's tough for me to get a good shot when everything is glowing blue. I'm using the SL model CoralSky - Products

What do those LED have over otheres? What makes them 50-100 dollers more then others? I think it want to go with somthign that is adjustable so i can have them 7 inches from my water.

Have you looked at some of the LED lights made oversea, like Maxspect? They are well built and about 1/3 the price of what you pay for comparable units made in US. May be even cheaper than a DIY unit.

I would go with Aqua Illuminations or any other fixture that uses Cree XP-G LED's.

I just swapped out my 5 MH for 144 LEDs. I passed on the XPGs and kept with the QRE Q5 with a 1 to 1 Royal Blue to Cool White. Once the price comes down on the XPGs I think a 2 Royal Blue for every 1 Cool White would be best. Here is a pic and yes I finally have reflectors on the T5s.
