Looking for something fairly thick that's got the right amount of give. Googles giving me the run around trying to sell me anything under the sun. The tank is acrylic 6'x3'. I have a half inch layer of pink insulation foam looking for a little extra support to put on top of the pink foam.

You don't need a leveling mat. Acrylic aquariums only need to be on a flat, level full bottom support surface.

Flat is the difficult part here my concrete floor has a crack in it. After leveling the stand/tank I have a little air showing between the tank and stand in one corner. Just a sliver but enough to make me wonder. Going to disassemble the stand and give it anouther go.

Do you happen to know of any good heavy duty adjustable leveling feet? All I can find is casters...

Don't stress it too much. Properly constructed acrylic aquariums have quite a bit of give. Just another benefit over glass tanks where did you get yours? Brand? Age? Pics?

Flat is not the same as level. You can have a flat surface and not level.

Midwest custom aquariums not custom aquariums just to be clear. it's around 2 years old bought it used. Though I'm looking looking at your tanks now as this one isn't as big as I'd like.

I have heard of these guys. They do a good job. Relax, grab a beer.

Let me know what you are looking for. We are in the process of introducing complete packages at around 30 percent less than comparable glass tanks from those well advertised brands. Aluminum stands with composite skins and overhead light mounts.

Midwest recommends the pink foam sheet on top of plywood actually
I recognize your name from another post. Not wanting to visit that goat rodeo again. These guys are probably one of the very few competitors that know what they are doing. You should contact them and see what they think about that last thread.

Midwest was the company I was referring to in that thread, they would use 3/4” all around like you said. Still debating a few things on this tank including your quote

You never saw a pic of the unicorn tank did you? Because it does not exist

Hey I just had a acrylic 500 gal dropped off from advanced aqua tanks, clients got it on the stand before I got there with no leveling mat, it looks like a solid build but I'm wondering about the mat, do you think it's OK? Do you have experience with advanced aqua tanks?

I wouldnt worry to much these tanks are generally stronger than we give them credit for. but I would consider high points in the stand. On my 270 I added a layer of pink foam insulation for a sort of leveling mat. Is it necessary? I'm not sure, depends on the situation. imagine a high stress point caused by a screw/debris/irregularities in the stand one corner higher than the others etc. A good layer of something that can obsorb the irregularitie so there isn't a high stress area/point on the acrylic/glass aquarium. Its basically cheap insurance. Just running your hand over the stand looking for an obstruction isnt enough. Due to the possibility of the stand warping over time from the weight/pressure even the floor becoming unlevel from the weight. I'd add a leveling mat or just something that can Absorb that high stress area that may not be present Initially. Have you ever heard somebody talking about a tank that suddenly bursts after being setup for years? I have been told some horror stories as I manager at at a large reef shop I prefer steel and aluminum stands to wooden ones. The longevity of the stand is extended quite a bit and you dont have to worry about things settling as much in my opinion. Just my 2 cents,
